Who we are
Incorporated on 7 July 1997, NAM-MIC Holdings was established as the investment vehicle of the Namibia Miners Investment Trust (NAMIT) — created by the Mineworkers Union of Namibia to provide long-term commercial investment on behalf of its members, their families, and the communities they belong to.
Today, NAM-MIC holds equity positions in financial services, healthcare, tourism, ICT and distribution — guided by a focused strategy of partnering with growth-stage and mature businesses that deliver superior, sustainable returns.
Our journey
Every milestone in our history reflects the trust and ambition of the members who believed in a bigger vision from day one.
A group of Namibian mineworkers pool their resources and officially register NAM-MIC as an investment vehicle — driven by a belief that collective saving could create lasting wealth.
NAM-MIC makes its first strategic investments in financial services, establishing early footholds in the Namibian banking sector.
The group launches a dedicated property division, developing and acquiring residential and commercial real estate across key Namibian cities.
Recognising the critical need for quality healthcare, NAM-MIC acquires stakes in hospital networks and clinic operators.
The group expands into education and agriculture, completing its six-sector diversified investment portfolio.
NAM-MIC continues to grow, representing over 12,000 members and managing significant assets across Namibia and the southern African region.
